Q: I need access to a textbook. What should I do?
Answered by: Laura Sider

For students

To see if the library owns an electronic copy of a textbook, search for the book title in Quicksearch Books+.

If the textbook is not available through Yale Library, submit a purchase request and we will try to obtain it.

Please note: Access to items on this list is limited to Yale students. Most of these items are not integrated into the Yale Library catalog.

For faculty

Faculty may place reserve requests for e-books, scans, and streaming audio or video using the Canvas course reserves module for the fall 2020 semester. Faculty are strongly encouraged to submit their requests as soon as possible and to include all required course materials so that library staff will have time to identify and secure e-versions. All course reserves for the fall 2020 semester will be online; physical course reserves will not be offered.
