Q. How do I download an EBook Central e-book title for offline reading on a device?

Beginning January 7, 2026, the Ebook Central Reader App will become available to Yale Library users. It replaces Adobe Digital Editions as the primary offline reading solution for EBook Central e-book titles.

The new reader app is a dedicated mobile and desktop app designed for reading downloaded e-books from the Ebook Central platform and offers a streamlined, secure, and accessible experience for patrons.

The app supports EPUB and PDF formats, allows users to manage their loans and devices, and is available on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. 

Note: The new app does not replace the Ebook Central online reader; it’s a companion tool.
