Q: In LUX, what is the difference between "Objects" and "Works?"
Answered by: Laura Galas
  • Objects:  These are physical and digital collection items. These include artworks, specimens, and records for specific physical or digital copies of library items
  • Works: These are linguistic, visual, and archival works (the intellectual content of an object, or the intellectual arrangement of objects). These include full bibliographic descriptions of library and archival materials, as well as information about the content depicted in visual works.

More information about the different tabs in LUX is available here.
