Q: Are masks required at Yale Library?
Answered by: Tricia Carey

Under the University's current guidelines, masking is optional for most people in all Yale Library spaces except library classrooms. Masks are required in library classrooms when teaching is occurring. Masks are also required during in-person group workshops or research sessions taught by library staff.

Masking continues to be required in all Yale spaces (including libraries) for anyone who is not up to date with vaccinations, who has had recent close contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, or who has a university-sponsored exemption to vaccination. Masking is required for everyone on campus shuttles, in healthcare facilities; and at some events and performances. For details, see full University masking guidance at https://ehs.yale.edu/masks.
