Q: I am having trouble connecting to a resource through EZ Proxy. What should I do?

Here are some options to try if off-campus access is not working for a particular resource:

1) Verify your affiliation with Yale University.

Off-campus access to library licensed resources is available to current Yale faculty, staff, students and Yale-New Haven Hospital employees only. If you fall into a category outside these primary affiliations, you will not have access to our resources off-campus

If you are unsure of your status, please e-mail askyalelibrary@yale.edu for assistance.

2) Connect via Cisco VPN AnyConnect. Though most library resources do not require VPN to access from off-campus, some library resources may still require you to use VPN.

2) Check the resource URL. It should be preceded with "https". If the URL reads "http" only, change it to "https" and refresh. See image below:

3) If you receive an error message that reads "Error: Resource Not Configured," use the links from the error page to report the problem to our e-resources team.

See the video below on how to access resources from off-campus not using VPN.
