Q: Did my access to Internet Archive change?
Answered by: Laura Sider
Internet Archive has decided to close their National Emergency Library, effective June 16th, 2020.
Yale Library patron access to Internet Archive will change in the following ways:
- The number of concurrent users will be limited by title.
- You may only borrow up to five books at a time.
- Books can be checked out for 14 days with the ability to renew.
- If all available copies are “checked out,” patrons have the option to be placed on a waitlist. They will be notified when the title is available for checkout.
Note: Yale Library patrons have to create a personal Internet Archive account in order to borrow books.Still have questions? Contact askyalelibrary@yale.edu.
