Q: I am not affiliated with Yale University. Do I have access to library collections?
Answered by: Laura Galas

Visitors not affiliated with Yale are welcome in most library locations during designated daytime hours when Yale ID is not needed for entry. See individual library hours and access policies. You may sign up for a Yale Library account to use and/or borrow general collection materials. To access special collections materials, you must register with Yale Library special collections and request the materials in the designated special collections reading room. Before coming to campus, check COVID-19 Library Updates for any changes in pandemic-related policies or procedures.

Contact askyalelibrary@yale.edu if you have any additional questions.
