Answered by: Laura Galas

This answer will describe how to both include and exclude e-books from your search results in Quicksearch.

Include e-book results

To include e-book results from your search, conduct a search in Quicksearch Books+.

  • From the results list, you can select a specific format type (such as "Archives or manuscripts" and "Books").
  • Select the format type "Online" and "Books."
  • Your search results are now limited to online books.
  • What the video below for more detail on how to find e-books in Quicksearch.

Exclude e-book results

To exclude e-book results from your search, conduct a search in Quicksearch Books+.

  • From the results list, you can select a specific format type (such as "Archives or manuscripts" and "Books").
  • Select the format type "Online" and "Books."
  • You will now have a breadcrumb trail at the top of your results that reads, "Format: is Online."
  • Use the drop down option to select "is not" ("Format: is not Online"). See image below.
  • Your results are now limited to books in print.
