Q: Where can I check out books?
Answered by: Laura Galas

Books can be checked out at the following libraries on campus:

Bass Library

Center for Science and Social Science Information

Cushing/Whitney Medical Library

Divinity Library

Haas Arts Library

Law Library

Math Library

Music Library

Sterling Memorial Library

You may check out materials at the service desks or use self-checkout machines, if available. You must have your Yale ID card or a library-issued borrowing card to check out library materials.

Please note: You may request materials from the Library Shelving Facility and have them sent to a library of your choice for checkout. Other campus libraries, like Beinecke Rare Books and Manuscripts Library, Lewis Walpole Library, and the Classics Library, have non-circulating collections and do not offer the option to check out materials. You may, however, view materials in their collections.
