Answered by: Laura Sider
What is a database?
Generally speaking, a database is a collection of online resources that can be accessed and searched from a single, specialized site. A database could include many types of research materials, including journal articles, citation or indexing information, e-books, archival collections, images, and more.
Find databases
- Search a list of Yale’s databases: search.library.yale.edu/databases
- Recommendations for subject specific databases are available within the library's research guides.
See the videos below to learn how to find a database by title or by subject.
