Digital Rights Management (DRM) are restrictions to electronic resource usage put in place to protect intellectual property. DRM comes in a variety of flavors depending on the publisher and content, and can range from:

·         limiting the number of users allowed to access the content at once,

·         controlling the length of time that a resource can be used,

·         limiting how much content can be downloaded or printed by a single user, and

·         determining the kinds of devices that can be used to read the content
