Q: How can I find information about fashion history in the Yale Library?
Answered by: Laura Galas

A great starting point is the Berg Fashion Library, which contains the full text of the Berg Encyclopedia of World Dress and Fashion as well as e-book and e-journal content related to fashion.

The ARTstor Digital Library also includes many images of historical fashion from museum collections.

You might also try searching Orbis using the Subject Browse categories of “Fashion” or “Clothing and Dress,” which have many narrower sub-headings like “Fashion—20th century—History.”

The Yale Library also subscribes to the Vogue Archive and Women’s Wear Daily Archive from ProQuest.
