Q: One of the books I am interested in checking out has a status of "In Process." What does that mean? How can I get this book?

At this time, we are not recalling books because so many library users are away from campus and unable to return items to campus. If you need a book that is currently checked out, please submit a purchase request, and we will try to obtain an electronic copy for you.

“In Process” means that the book is not currently shelved in the library stacks. This status may be due to the book needing repairs or other shelving preparation (i.e. cataloging, binding…etc.).

However, you may still request the book by clicking on the “Recall or delivery” link in the book’s Orbis record. When the book is available you will receive an email notifying you that the book is ready to be picked up at the library of your choice.
