Q: Can I eat and drink in any of the Yale libraries?
Answered by: Tanya Allen

Although the Bass and CSSSI libraries do allow food, most of the other libraries either do not allow food at all or else have areas specially designated for its consumption.

Non-alcoholic beverages are acceptable at many libraries, if they are in approved containers such as spill-proof mugs, sports bottles and water in capped plastic water bottles.

Please see the Use of Library Spaces page for information on each library’s food and drink policies.
