Q: How do I put a film on course reserve?
Answered by: Jessica Bower

Fall 2020

The library is currently processing only electronic reserves. Current students should look for e-reserve material in Canvas. Faculty can request material to be put on e-Reserve via Canvas. Find more information about current reserve policies at https://guides.library.yale.edu/reserves.

You can put a film on reserve the same way as you would a book. Use Canvas to provide staff with bibliographic information such as the item’s call number and title.

If Yale doesn’t own the item, the library will purchase it.  Please provide the ISBN and any other information helpful for procurement.

Please note that media, including CDs DVDs, and other formats may only be placed on closed reserve.  Streaming video reserves may also be available through Yale University Library licensed content.

Please contact SML/Bass Reserves at reserves@yale.edu or your local reserves unit to inquire about streaming options for course reserves.
