Q: Can ILL books be recalled?
Answered by: Jessica Bower Relevo

Books borrowed for you via InterLibrary Loan (ILL) are subject to recall by the library that lent the material.

  • If the book is still on the hold shelf when it’s recalled, it will be taken off and sent back to its lending library.  We will notify you via email if this happens.
  • If the book is checked out we will notify you via email that it needs to be returned.
  • Not returning the book on-time will jeopardize future loans from this institution to yourself and others.

Please contact smlill@yale.edu or your local resource sharing unit if you have any questions.
