Q: An item’s title or location includes the word “microform” – what does that mean?
Answered by: Laura Sider

Microform is a medium for storing and transmitting reproductions of documents, typically including journals, newspapers, and records.

Microform may be viewed using the readers in the Microform Reading Room (MRR), located inside Sterling Memorial Library. Most of Yale’s collection of microform materials is housed in the MRR and in the LSF.

Information on requesting delivery or scans of materials on microform can be found at Get It @ Yale.
