Q: Where can I return library books after hours?

Patrons who wish to return books to the following Yale University libraries after normal business hours may use any of the following bookdrops:

 

Sterling Memorial Library

There are two outdoor book drops at the main entrance to the library on High Street. A third bookdrop is located by the entrance on York St. 

Bass Library

One outdoor bookdrop is located outside the vestibule closest to Wall St.

Cushing/Whitney Medical Library

The book drop is located by the entrance to the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library. A Yale ID is required to enter the Medical School.

Divinity School Library

The indoor book drop is located in the corridor outside the library.  

An outdoor book drop is located by Parking Lot II, across from the Divinity School's north driveway entrance.

Lillian Goldman Law Library

The book drop is located in the foyer outside of the Law Library main entrance on the third floor.

Marx Library

Two bookdrops are located at the Yale Science Building (YSB.) One is located at the central entrance at 260 Whitney Ave and the other at the YSB Pavilion by the Steep Cafe.

Robert B. Haas Family Arts Library

The book drop is located inside the Loria Center, outside of the Art Library.  A Yale ID is required to enter the building after 6PM.
