Q: Can I request a map be scanned through Scan and Deliver? What about a scan of an image of art in a book?

The library is continuing to process Scan & Deliver requests (items available in the Yale Library collections) for current students, faculty, and staff when indicated in Quicksearch and Orbis. Yale Alums are not currently able to request Scan & Deliver.

The Scan and Deliver service can be used to scan plates, etchings, bound art, and maps of less than 18" by 24" in color up to 600dpi provided the request meets copyright requirements.

File sizes may become prohibitively large as more color images are included so we recommend keeping to fewer than 10 color pages to ensure a manageable PDF.
