Q: I've got a book from ILL that I accidentally damaged. Will there be a fine?

Yale Library users are expected to comply with the terms of the lending library. If an item is overdue more than 30 days, or if the material is reported lost or damaged, then a replacement fee will be assessed in addition to any applicable overdue fees.

The replacement fee is determined by the policies of the lending library, and may include a processing fee in addition to the replacement cost of the book.

You can find more information about fines and fees and how to report a lost book or other problem with your Library Account via the Using Library Collections website.
