Q: What is Eduroam?
Answered by: Laura Galas

Eduroam is a secure access service that allows students, faculty, and staff from participating institutions to obtain internet access when visiting other participating institutions.

For Yale affiliates, it means being able to sign into the Eduroam network when you visit another participating university.  This will give you access to that institution’s network.

For researchers visiting Yale, logging into Eduroam allows access to Yale’s network.  This is roughly equivalent to using Yale Secure wireless and allows for printing and access to library databases.
