Q: What is Multifactor Authentication (MFA)/Duo Security?
Answered by: Laura Galas

Yale has introduced an additional security measure to protect your intellectual property, your personal information, and Yale's data. Called Multifactor Authentication (MFA), this measure will add a step to the log-in process you use for off-campus access to Yale's network and resources.

Multifactor Authentication will require an off-campus user to prove their identity after entering a NetID and password by responding to a prompt on a mobile device or landline.
