Q: What kinds of materials or collections can I find in Manuscripts and Archives (MSSA)?
Answered by: Laura Galas

MSSA, one of the Library’s largest special collections repositories, collects personal papers, corporate records, correspondence, diaries, legal and financial records, office files, photographs, motion picture film, video and audio tape, memorabilia, objects, and digital files. MSSA further advises on the management of all University-produced records, and adds to its holdings those records that are scheduled for permanent preservation, e.g. Yale corporation minutes, the files from offices of the president, secretary, deans, and masters. Together, the collections of MSSA represent about twelve linear miles of material.
