Q: The book I want says it’s on “closed reserve” at Bass Library. What does that mean?
Answered by: Tanya Allen
“Closed reserve” items have been given restricted access by professors, lecturers, and teaching assistants who have included the materials on their respective syllabi. They must be requested at the Circulation Desk. One book may be charged at a time for a total of two hours. Videos and restricted volumes may be charged for one hour only. The due date slip placed in the back of the item notes the time at which the item is due. No materials from Closed Reserve may be removed from the library. Reserve items can not be requested through Place Requests or renewed.
Please see the Bass Library General Reserves Information page for more details.
