Q: What types of materials are and are not available through ILL?
Answered by: Tanya Allen

• Yale can usually get: books, microfilm/microfiche, dissertations and many theses, conference proceedings, book chapters and journal articles (as pdf files).

• Some items that are more difficult to procure are: Senior theses, rare and pre-1850 books and manuscripts, films and audio recordings, entire journal volumes, popular fiction and books that have gotten a lot of recent press, and international dissertations.

• Items that ILL cannot acquire are: boxes of manuscripts, textbooks, and anything already owned by Yale.
