Q. Where can I return library books?

Patrons may return books, including BorrowDirect and Interlibrary Loan to these bookdrops:

Sterling Memorial Library

There are two outdoor bookdrops at the main entrance to the library on High Street. A third bookdrop is located by the entrance on York St. 

Bass Library

One outdoor bookdrop is located outside the vestibule closest to Wall St.

Cushing/Whitney Medical Library

The bookdrop is located by the entrance to the Cushing/Whitney Medical Library. A Yale ID is required to enter the Medical School.

Divinity School Library

The indoor bookdrop is located in the corridor outside the library.

An outdoor bookdrop is located by Parking Lot II, across from the Divinity School's north driveway entrance.

Lillian Goldman Law Library

The bookdrop is located in the foyer outside of the Law Library main entrance on the third floor.

Marx Science and Social Science Library

Two bookdrops are located at the Yale Science Building (YSB.) One is located at the central entrance at 260 Whitney Ave and the other at the YSB Pavilion by the Steep Cafe.

Haas Family Arts Library

The bookdrop is located inside the Loria Center, outside of the Art Library.  A Yale ID is required to enter the building after 6PM.

West Campus Bookdrops

Bookdrops at the Collection Studies Center (building 900), the Conference Center (Building 800) and the Yale School of Nursing (building 400) are now open.

Bookdrops at Rosenkranz Hall, on Hillhouse Ave and the School of Management are also now open.
