Q: I'm out of town, how long will an interlibrary loan item be held for me?

If an Interlibrary Loan (ILL) item is available, you will receive an email notifying you of the pickup location and expiration date. ILL materials stay on shelf until their due date. They will be pulled and sent back to the lending library the morning after they are due.

If you wish to renew your Interlibrary Loan item, please email t smlill@yale.edu or your local resource sharing unit a week before the item is due.

If an electronic document is available then you will find a link to the document in the delivery email.

You can also log into your ILL account at anytime to review the status of a request.
