Unfortunately, no. When a staff member discharges the BorrowDirect item from your account, the lending library is notified of its return. We are unable to return the book to the patron, even if it has not yet shipped.

We recommend placing another request for the same title through BorrowDirect. Your request should arrive within four business days.
