Q: I belong to another institution and I have no Yale affiliation. Can I borrow materials from your library?

If you are interested in borrowing materials from Yale University Library, please contact the Privileges Office, located in Sterling Memorial Library, for information about library access. You may send an email to askyalelibrary@yale.edu or call 203-432-1775 during business hours. Please review this page for more information about Borrowing and Access at the library.

If you are unable to visit Yale University, please contact your institution's interlibrary loan department. We do not loan books directly to people who are not members of the Yale community, but we do participate in cooperative lending programs between libraries.
