Q: How can I get a copy of an item that is currently unavailable?
Answered by: Laura Galas

If you are a current student, staff or faculty member, you are eligible to use the following services:

BorrowDirect

BorrowDirect is a cooperative program among Yale's Ivy Plus partners, which allows us to share library materials. If any of the participating colleges has an available copy of the book you are looking for, it can be shipped here for your use in 4 business days. Place a request using BorrowDirect.

More information about BorrowDirect is available on the BorrowDirect webpage.

Interlibrary Loan

You may also wish to submit a request for this item to interlibrary loan to borrow items from outside of the Ivy Plus partnership. Place an interlibrary loan (ILL) request.

More information about interlibrary loan is available on the Interlibrary Loan guide.

Purchase Requests

If you would like the library to purchase an item for the Yale collection, please fill out the "Purchase Request" form located under "Find, Request and Use > Request" at the bottom of our library homepage. We will notify you of our decision.
