Q: I've just graduated. Do I still get access to ejournals?
Answered by: Laura Galas

As a Yale graduate, you may access Yale Library collections with a range of free and paid options. For more information, visit the library's alumni borrowing page: https://library.yale.edu/find-request-and-use/use/using-library-collections/alumni.

Access to JSTOR and HeinOnline

The Yale Alumni Association provides access to JSTOR and HeinOnline journals (law journals). To get access you must register with Yale's Alumni Association:

  • Go to the Alumni Office website
  • Click on "My Profile" and login
  • Select "Online Library Resources" to access JSTOR and HeinOnline

For recent graduates:

You will retain VPN and off-campus access to the library's electronic resources in the months immediately following graduation. To use the library's electronic resources on public terminals in Sterling Memorial Library, you may register for library access at the Sterling Memorial Library service desk.

Click here for a list of Open Access (free!) sites where you can find scholarly resources.

For Divinity School graduates:

Visit the Divinity Library website for information about access to electronic resources after graduation.
